Programme

The Programme Committee has put together a state-of-the-art programme with an enticing international flavour. Each of the six streams offer exciting topics presented by top speakers. The best congress experience will be offered to participants through the creation of innovative and interactive sessions.

Streams and Sessions

The overall programme will consist of debates, meet-the-expert sessions, symposia, teaching lectures, workshops, and oral and poster presentations incorporated into six streams:

Invited Speakers Programme

Debate

These will include sessions on controversial topics in the format of a discussion in which two opposing teams will defend and refute a given proposition.

Meet-the-expert

These sessions will provide the opportunity for participants to interact with one or more experts on a specific topic.

Symposium

Symposia will include latest findings in diabetes research, and current issues in therapy and education, as well as exploring subjects related to the organizational, economic and personal impact of diabetes.

Teaching Lecture

Recognized experts will give educational lectures on specified topics. This format will combine a lecture with an audience interaction.

Workshop

Workshops will include the discussion of specific topics accompanied by practical demonstrations, problem-solving or hands-on training sessions.

Proffered Paper Programme

Proffered Paper Sessions

Proffered papers will allow authors of accepted abstracts to communicate their projects and findings to a global audience.

Poster Presentation

Accepted abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be displayed as posters.
