Satellite symposia
A satellite symposium planned, organized and staged by a sponsoring company is the adequate platform to reach a target group audience and to inform potential clients about the latest scientific information and developments in diabetes research.
Satellite symposia take place within the general framework of the congress, outside of official programme hours. Symposia will take place on level 5 of the Palais des Congrès in the rooms of the official programme for the 20th World Diabetes Congress.
Symposia contents have to be submitted to the Chair of the programme no later than 15 July 2009 in order to be published in the official programme book of the congress.
It is explicitly stated here that the Congress Programme Committee, chaired by Professor Philip Home, decides whether an application is accepted or rejected: no appeal is possible.
Satellite symposia programmes will be published in the official layout of the congress programme book determined by the IDF.
Please note that the IDF congress policy states that no company can take an option on sponsorship items, be it satellite symposia, hospitality suites or other sponsoring or marketing items, without also taking exhibition space.
