Sponsorship items

Sponsoring an event or an item at the 20th World Diabetes Congress demonstrates your company’s general dedication in the field of diabetes and its commitment to IDF and diabetes care. Your company will be rewarded for its sponsorship with high visibility in numerous locations around the congress venue, in the Programme book or in congress publications depending on the type of sponsorship chosen.

Please note that the IDF congress policy states that no company can take an option on sponsorship items, be it satellite symposia, hospitality suites or other sponsoring or marketing items, without also taking exhibition space.

Payment of sponsorship items

The full amount is due upon reservation and shall be paid within 30 days of the invoice date. The corresponding invoice will be sent out by the IDF Congress Secretariat in due time before the deadline for receipt of payment.

If sponsorship items are not paid within the prescribed time, the reserved items will be released and any loss incurred by the organizer through non-payment shall be covered by the defaulting company. Direct transfer payments are preferred and should be made into the established congress account, indicating the invoice number. Sender’s bank charges will be at the expense of the company. Crossed cheques or bank drafts should be made payable to the congress and should be sent by registered post to the attention of the IDF Finance Department. Personal cheques will not be accepted.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event that the World Diabetes Congress is transferred to another venue, companies not represented in the IDF regional market of the new selected venue shall be entitled to withdraw from the congress. However, the first installment will not be refunded. For the companies accepting the new venue, all payments paid in advance will be transferred on an equivalent basis to the new location for the congress.
